About Us

We are a united community of faith, serving the parishes of St. Clare, St. Mary, and St. Anne, dedicated to worship, fellowship, and living out Christ’s mission.

OUR MISSION

MASS TIMES & SACRAMENTS

GET INVOLVED

We are a worshiping, evangelizing, and serving community of intentional disciples, centered in the Eucharist and rooted in the Catholic Tradition, with Mary as our model.

Join us for Mass at any of our three churches and experience the sacraments of Baptism, Holy Communion, Confirmation, Marriage, and Reconciliation. Our doors are open to all who wish to deepen their connection with God.

Tri-Parish offers various opportunities for individuals to get involved in our community through volunteer work, outreach programs, and social events. We believe in the strength of unity and the power of giving back.

Meet the Pastor

Fr. Ron Maldo Lorilla is an incardinated priest of the Diocese of Springfield in Illinois and was ordained on May 27, 2017. Fr. Ron grew up in a small farming community in Sipocot, Camarines Sur, Philippines. Before entering the seminary, Fr. Ron earned a degree in AB economics and worked as a market researcher. After several years of working as a market researcher, he joined a locally founded institute in the Philippines and became a lay missionary. Fr. Ron spent many years living among the people in the parish, where he was assigned as a missioner to organize small Christian communities. He finally responded to the call of the priesthood and began his seminary training. He attended Christ the King Mission Seminary in Quezon City for his Philosophy, Pontifical Royal University of Sto. Tomas (UST) for Theology, and later on transferred to Kenrick-Glennon Seminary in St. Louis, Missouri, where he earned his Master of Arts (MA) and Master in Divinity (M.Div.) degrees. Shortly after his ordination, he was assigned as parochial vicar at St. Anthony church in Effingham and Annunciation church in Shumway, IL. He was then transferred to Blessed Sacrament parish in Springfield as a parochial vicar for two years before being named parochial administrator of the four parishes west of Springfield. In July of 2023, he was named parochial administrator of St. Clare, St. Mary, and St. Anne and was appointed pastor of the same the following year.

St. Clare

St. Clare Catholic Church has a rich history rooted in faith and community. Established in the 1830s as a log church near what is now St. Elmo, the parish overcame challenges, including fires in 1848 and 1873, to emerge as a cornerstone of the Altamont community. With its first frame building completed in 1875 and a new Gothic-style church dedicated in 1923, St. Clare has continually grown and adapted to meet the needs of its parishioners. Supported by the Franciscan Monks of Teutopolis in its early years, the parish expanded to include a school in 1882. Today, St. Clare serves over 150 families, continuing its legacy of worship, education, and community connection.

St. Mary

St. Mary’s of the Immaculate Conception in St. Elmo has a rich history dating back to 1904. Originally a mission church of St. Clare in Altamont, it grew from its humble beginnings into the vibrant parish it is today. The current brick church and hall, dedicated in 1969, stand as a testament to the dedication and faith of its community. St. Mary’s families gather year-round for faith-filled activities, including seasonal dinners, picnics, and holiday celebrations, fostering fellowship and strengthening their bond as a parish family. Through God’s love and the devotion of its members, St. Mary’s continues to thrive in faith and unity.

St. Anne

St. Anne’s Parish has a deep-rooted history of faith and dedication, dating back to its founding in 1864 as a mission parish. Over the years, it has grown into a vibrant and active community through the hard work and devotion of its members. With significant milestones like the construction of the current church, renovations to enhance its facilities, and the addition of a parish center, St. Anne’s continues to be a spiritual home for many. Through worship, fellowship, and service, St. Anne’s remains committed to fostering faith and unity among its parishioners.
